Job Requirements

  • Valid current Food Handlers Certificate
  • Ability to work 30 to 40 hours per week
  • Flexibility to work day and evening shifts
  • At least 1 year of restaurant experience preferred
  • Preferred ability to speak English
  • Commitment to maintaining safety and sanitation standards
  • Capability to work in person on-site at Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi
  • Physical ability to perform manual cleaning and kitchen duties.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Valid current Food Handlers Certificate required
  • At least one year of restaurant or food service experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English preferred
  • Ability to work flexible day and evening shifts
  • Knowledge of OSHA cleaning chemical regulations
  • Familiarity with dishwashing and burnishing machine operation
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Capability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to handle manual kitchen tasks.

Job Duties

  • Set up wares for dining outlets and banquets
  • Retrieve and wash soiled wares
  • Transport supplies and food to service areas
  • Assist the kitchen with plating banquet meals
  • Clean and maintain equipment in dishwashing, kitchen, cafeteria, compactor, and storage areas
  • Wash pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils and equipment
  • Maintain departmental policies, service standards, equipment maintenance, and positive guest relations
  • Monitor cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of work areas
  • Use cleaning chemicals according to OSHA regulations
  • Organize work station supplies and equipment
  • Check and fill dishwashing machine chemicals and ensure correct temperature settings
  • Handle wares carefully to prevent breakage
  • Change dishwashing water and filters as specified
  • Maintain garbage disposal cleanliness
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen utensils and equipment
  • Stock kitchen lines with clean wares
  • Clean spills immediately
  • Maintain supply/storage closet cleanliness and organization
  • Transport garbage containers and adhere to recycling regulations
  • Clean garbage compactor
  • Operate burnishing machine to polish silver wares
  • Assist with banquet service food transport and breakdown
  • Maintain cleanliness of associate cafeteria
  • Support dishwashing team as needed.
