Job Requirements

  • Valid current Food Handlers Certificate
  • availability to work day and PM shifts
  • minimum one year of restaurant or food service experience preferred
  • ability to communicate effectively in English preferred
  • physical ability to perform manual labor tasks
  • willingness to comply with all safety and sanitation regulations
  • availability to work full-time 30 to 40 hours per week

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • minimum one year of restaurant or food service experience preferred
  • valid current Food Handlers Certificate required
  • ability to follow safety and sanitation standards
  • effective communication skills in English preferred
  • ability to work day and PM shifts

  • attention to detail and ability to handle wares carefully
  • physical stamina to perform repetitive cleaning tasks

Job Duties

  • Set up wares for dining outlets and banquets
  • retrieve and wash soiled wares
  • transport supplies and food to service areas
  • assist the kitchen with plating banquet meals
  • clean and maintain dishwashing kitchen cafeteria compactor storage areas
  • wash pots pans and other kitchen utensils equipment
  • maintain compliance with departmental policies service procedures and standards
  • monitor cleanliness sanitation and organization of assigned work areas
  • use correct cleaning chemicals according to OSHA regulations
  • check working condition of dishwashing machine and rectify deficiencies
  • fill dishwashing machine with designated chemicals and ensure temperature standards
  • remove excess food and debris from soiled wares before washing
  • position wares correctly in racks and operate dishwashing machine
  • inspect cleanliness of washed wares and rewash if necessary
  • store cleaned wares in designated areas
  • change dishwashing machine water filters and monitor chemical usage
  • maintain cleanliness of garbage disposal and breakdown work areas
  • clean and sanitize pots pans utensils and kitchen equipment
  • stock kitchen lines with cleaned wares utensils and equipment
  • clean spills immediately
  • maintain storage closets cleanliness and organization
  • handle garbage transport and adhere to recycling regulations
  • operate and clean burnishing machine for silver wares
  • stack plated meals in hot carts and transport to banquet area
  • assist in breaking down trays and carts at banquet service area
