Job Requirements
- Prior dishwashing or utility experience preferred
- Ability to comply with safety and sanitation protocols
- Capacity to work full time including rotating weekends and holidays
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical labor
- Must be able to maintain a clean and safe work area
- Effective communication skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and equipment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior dishwashing or utility experience preferred
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Familiarity with safety regulations in a kitchen environment
- Capability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks
- Strong attention to detail with focus on food safety and hygiene
Job Duties
- Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or uses dishwashing machinery to ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation
- Washes pots, pans, and trays according to established procedures ensuring cleanliness
- Polishes silverware using various equipment and procedures to maintain sanitation standards
- Ensures compliance with safety protocols and procedures
- Maintains water temperatures and chemical levels as specified by standards
- Keeps dish area organized and in compliance with safety regulations
- Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to uphold safety and sanitation
- Cleans worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces
- Removes trash and appropriately disposes of waste
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
- Assists in loading and unloading supplies and products
- Performs additional duties as assigned
