Job Requirements
- ability to move throughout the dining room effectively
- ability to lift and carry serving trays weighing up to 15lbs and bus tubs weighing up to 40 lbs
- ability to perform reaching and stooping motions
Job Qualifications
- previous experience as a dishwasher in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred but not required
- ability to operate commercial dishwashing equipment and follow safety protocols
- strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness
- positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
- availability to work evenings weekends and holidays as needed
Job Duties
- operate commercial dishwashing equipment to efficiently clean and sanitize dishes glassware utensils pots and pans
- maintain a clean and organized kitchen area by regularly emptying trash cleaning food preparation areas and ensuring equipment is clean and in good working order
- sort and stack clean dishes and utensils in an organized manner for easy access by kitchen staff
- provide support to kitchen staff as needed including helping with food preparation and basic kitchen tasks during busy periods
- adhere to food safety and sanitation standards including proper handling of chemicals and cleaning agents
- monitor and report any shortages or issues with dishwashing supplies and equipment
- collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow
