Job Duties

  • Washing and sanitizing dishes
  • assisting in food preparation and serving
  • maintaining clean and sanitary kitchen and dining areas
  • checking that plate and hot base lowerator is heated and steam table is properly heated
  • ensuring accurate serving portions and food items on each tray before loading to the food cart
  • ensuring appropriate serving utensils are used and temperatures are within standards
  • ensuring trays are garnished and neatly arranged during tray line and that silverware, cups, and dishes are clean and plate covers are dry
  • checking and recording excess or shortage preparation after tray line and discussing with supervisor
