Our preparatory operations are conducted in a small two-sided commissary kitchen located on the Southside of Richmond. This kitchen serves as the heart of our food preparation, handling the initial stages before dishes are finalized and served. The environment is fast-paced yet organized, requiring a team that thrives in a collaborative space and values punctuality and reliability. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous dishwashing or kitchen maintenance experience preferred but not required
- ability to work from 10:15 AM to 12:15 PM Monday through Friday
- capability to stand for extended periods
- ability to follow safety and hygiene protocols
- transportation to and from the workplace
- willingness to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Job Qualifications
- basic knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety
- ability to operate commercial dishwashing equipment
- physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and lift heavy kitchenware
- attention to detail
- reliability and punctuality
- good communication skills
Job Duties
- handle and properly clean large commercial pots, woks, pans, and baking sheets, and cooking utensils
- stacking and stocking cleaned dishes as appropriate for convenient use the next day
- do basic cleaning of the cooking area including wiping surfaces and sweeping
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing station
- ensure timely cleaning to support kitchen operations
- report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards
- assist with inventory management of cleaning supplies
