Job Requirements

Job Duties
- Prepare all tableware for washing including scraping plates and pre-soaking silverware
- Set up dishwashing machine ensuring drains are closed, tanks filled, temperatures correct, and detergents at proper levels
- Wash dishes and properly stack and store china, glassware, and flatware
- Thoroughly clean dishwashing equipment and working areas
- Wash pots and pans including pre-soaking and rinsing in sanitizing solutions or hot water
- Dispose of waste according to management prescription
- Perform general housekeeping duties including sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing floors and heavily soiled areas
- Salvage unused items such as butter, preserves, syrups, and creamers
- Ensure proper handling of dishes and glassware to minimize breakage
- Assist in putting away delivery orders
- Report maintenance issues as needed
- Assist in catering or banquet work when required
- Assist in food preparation such as chopping vegetables and making salads and soups
- Assist in bussing tables during busy times
