Job Requirements
- Must have and maintain an active Handlers' Card (ServSafe) and adhere to local food handler requirements
- Maintain an exceptional personal record of punctuality and attendance
- Consistently perform all duties responsibly and efficiently
- Ability to work in a noisy, fast-paced kitchen environment
- Ability to handle physical demands including lifting up to 40 pounds
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-1 year experience in a full-service kitchen environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation guidelines
- Ability to maintain professional appearance
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and layout
- Food safety certification preferred
Job Duties
- Load, run and unload dish machine ensuring proper cleaning and sanitation
- Hand wash pots, pans and trays maintaining sanitation standards
- Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glassware, and utensils
- Stack clean and dry dishes
- Transport clean dishes to cook's line and storage areas
- Change dishwater in dish machine hourly
- Sort and remove trash to designated pickup areas
- Fill and empty soak tubs with cleaning solutions
- Sweep, scrub and mop floors
- Maintain dish pit cleanliness
- Notify manager if dish machine temperature falls below safety standards
- Clean garbage cans and scrub walls
- Prepare various foods for cooking and serving
- Follow safety and sanitation procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
