Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent or relevant experience
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 100 pounds

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in hotel or related field preferred

- Knowledge of sanitation standards and safe chemical handling
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good physical stamina and endurance
Job Duties
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and orderliness in all kitchens, back dock, dumpster and utility work areas
- Heavy duty cleaning of ovens, grills, sinks, walls, floors, walk-in refrigerators and freezers and other heavy kitchen equipment
- Wash pots, pans, and kitchen utensils following proper procedure for sanitation
- Sweep, mop and wash floors in all food and beverage areas, kitchen, restaurant and dock area
- Keep management informed of shortage of equipment and supplies
- Operate dishwashing equipment to ensure all china, glass, and silver are cleaned thoroughly
- Return clean china, glass, and silver to proper storage minimizing breakage
- Knowledge of proper safe handling techniques for all chemicals used
- Report faulty equipment to management immediately
- Empty garbage from food and beverage areas into hotel dumpster
- Know location and operation of all fire extinguishing equipment
- Practice safe work habits at all times
- Follow proper procedures in breakdown, cleaning, and reassembly of kitchen equipment
- Follow all sanitation standards
- Assist in set up and breakdown of restaurant buffet
- Assist Banquets by supplying china, glass, and silver as needed
