Job Requirements

Minimum age of eighteen (18) years
Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder
Willingness and ability to work long shifts (up to 12 hours per day) and seven days a week for the duration of the 28-week season
Physical ability to lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs and perform moderate physical activities such as bending, climbing, standing, and walking for extended periods
Consent to and passing of federal pre-employment drug test including marijuana and other controlled substances
Adherence to American Cruise Lines’ grooming standards related to visible tattoos and piercings
Prohibition on alcohol consumption while working aboard ship
Temporary employment not exceeding 28 weeks
Commitment to safety and emergency responsibilities aboard the ship

Job Qualifications

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
American citizen or Green Card holder
Ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
Strong physical capability including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended standing or walking
Ability to maintain composure and positive attitude under pressure
Willingness to follow grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
Compliance with pre-employment drug testing, including marijuana and other controlled substances
Eligibility and willingness to participate in emergency and safety trainings essential to ship operation

Job Duties

Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the galley including cutlery, glassware, dishes, and surrounding areas
Receive and carry food deliveries which require lifting boxes that weigh up to 50 lbs
Ensure that the commercial dishwasher is operating properly and efficiently, reporting any maintenance issues to management
Creating genuine rapport with our guests and catering to all galley requests in an efficient manner
Perform other duties such as greeting guests upon embarkation and assisting during special events including afternoon teas, snacks, and evening entertainment
