Job Requirements
- Be at least eighteen (18) years old
- Hold American citizenship or permanent resident status
- Willing and able to work 12-hour shifts for 7 days a week during the 28-week season
- Pass pre-employment drug testing including marijuana
- Able to lift heavy boxes up to 50 lbs
- Maintain physical fitness for standing, walking, bending, and climbing
- Adhere to strict grooming standards
- Abstain from alcohol consumption during employment
- Ability to follow safety and emergency procedures
- This is a temporary position not exceeding 28 weeks
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must be an American citizen or Green Card holder
- Able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day for 7 days a week up to 28 weeks
- Able to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Maintain a positive attitude
- Ability to build rapport with guests and crew
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test including testing for Marijuana and other controlled substances
- Willingness to comply with the company’s grooming standards and alcohol consumption policy
- Must be able to participate in emergency and safety training
Job Duties
- Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the galley including cutlery, glassware, dishes, and surrounding areas
- Receive and carry food deliveries which require lifting boxes that weigh up to 50 lbs
- Ensure that the commercial dishwasher is operating properly and efficiently, reporting any maintenance issues to management
- Create genuine rapport with guests and cater to all galley requests efficiently
- Perform additional functions such as greeting guests upon embarkation, assisting during special events including afternoon teas and snacks, and participating in evening entertainment
- Adhere to shipboard emergency and safety procedures as required
- Maintain grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
