Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- possess a current Food Handler's Card where applicable
- excellent customer service skills and etiquette
- ability to communicate effectively with team members
- ability to learn about all chemicals used in the building and use them properly
- ability to work around various temperatures including warm to very warm conditions in the kitchen
- ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team work environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous dishwashing or kitchen experience is a plus
- ability to communicate effectively with team members
- excellent customer service skills and etiquette
- ability to learn and follow proper sanitation and safety protocols
- ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- basic knowledge of food handling and kitchen safety
- willingness to assist other kitchen staff as needed
Job Duties
- Operate an industrial dishwasher
- wash dishes, sweep/mop floors, clean and maintain equipment, sanitize utensils and maintain all restaurant areas
- maintain kitchen work areas, equipment or utensils in clean and orderly conditions
- clean food preparation areas, facilities or equipment
- execute proper sanitation practices and safety procedures
- place clean dishes, utensils or cooking equipment in storage areas
- empty and clean all trash receptacles
- assist prep cook and other kitchen staff during peak times, including basic prep
- load or unload trucks delivering or picking up food or supplies
- perform opening, closing and side work
- clean up spills or broken glassware immediately
