Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a dishwasher role or similar kitchen sanitation position
  • ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy kitchenware
  • knowledge of sanitation and safety regulations
  • capability to operate both manual and machine dishwashing methods
  • strong teamwork and communication skills
  • flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior dishwashing or kitchen sanitation experience preferred

  • good physical stamina to handle standing for long periods and lifting

Job Duties

  • Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen tools using dish machines or by hand
  • ensure all cleaned items are properly dried and stored in their designated areas
  • empty trash bins, separate recyclables, and ensure proper disposal of waste
  • maintain cleanliness of dish stations, sinks, and surrounding areas
  • sanitize workspaces regularly
  • keep floors clean and dry to prevent slips and falls, including back walkway from kitchen to lobby door and loading dock door
  • help with basic food prep tasks such as peeling vegetables or setting up workstations
  • monitor dishwashing machines and report malfunctions to a manager
  • ensure dishes are properly stored, clean tables, and sweep and mop floors in the employee dining room
  • uphold and role model company principles of People, Place, and Character
  • collaborate with culinary leadership demonstrating team commitment to guest experience
  • take pride in work strictly adhering to sanitary guidelines
  • work in an organized fashion with respect for equipment and workspace
  • demonstrate a professional sense of urgency in kitchen space
  • possess understanding of stewarding department workflow and maintenance of culinary equipment
