Job Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods up to 8 hours per shift
- Frequent bending, stooping, lifting, and carrying of up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working in hot, humid, or wet environments, as well as refrigerated spaces
- Must be able to use dishwashing machines, sinks, and cleaning tools safely and effectively
- Requires repetitive hand and arm movements for scrubbing, lifting, and handling dishware
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a dishwasher, steward, or porter in a high-volume restaurant or hotel is a plus
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Willingness to learn and grow within the hospitality industry
Job Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently and thoroughly
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing area, kitchen floors, trash receptacles, and related areas
- Properly handle and store cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines
- Support kitchen staff by returning clean wares and equipment promptly to their stations
- Assist with polishing glassware when needed
- Follow all sanitation and safety protocols to ensure compliance with health standards
- Communicate with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations during peak hours
