Job Duties

  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment including dishwashers, hand wash stations, pot scrubbing stations, and garbage compactors
  • wash and sanitize kitchen areas, storage rooms, tables, utensils, knives, and equipment
  • receive deliveries, properly store perishable products, and rotate stock
  • ensure clean dishes are stored in appropriate areas
  • use chemical detergents, disinfectants, and rinsing agents to wash dishes in a three-compartment sink
  • inspect, stack, and send dirty items back for re-washing
  • spray hot water to loosen and remove food residue on items placed on racks
  • sort, soak, and wash or rewash cutlery
  • sort and separate containers for dirty items
  • empty trash bins and maintain garbage storage areas
  • clean and mop all assigned departmental areas
  • dispose of glass in designated containers
  • break down cardboard boxes and other recyclables and place them in recycling bins
  • follow company safety policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and hazardous work conditions to management
  • complete safety training and certifications
  • protect company assets
  • communicate clearly and professionally with others
  • develop and maintain positive working relationships and support team goals
  • ensure compliance with quality standards
  • move, lift, transport, push, drag, and place objects weighing 50 pounds or less
  • stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • reach overhead and below knees, including crouching, twisting, and bending
  • perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors
