Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in dishwashing or kitchen sanitation preferred
  • ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds
  • knowledge of safe chemical handling and sanitation practices
  • completion of OSHA-required safety training
  • strong work ethic and reliability
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Highly organized
  • must be able to work the majority of the shift in a standing position, constantly moving, and able to lift 30 pounds

Job Duties

  • Sets up dishwasher correctly ie: temperature, drains, detergents at proper levels
  • washes dirty dishes then stacks and stores in the appropriate area of the kitchen
  • thoroughly cleans dishwashing equipment and work areas
  • performs clean-up in all kitchen areas
  • wash pots and pans properly, including presoak and sanitizing
  • dispose of waste in manner prescribed by management
  • assists in putting away stock, rotating stock and cleaning stock rooms
