Job Requirements

  • Must be age 16 or older
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend the English language

Job Qualifications

  • Promote teamwork in providing services to residents
  • Follow state food-handling and kitchen regulations
  • Operation of basic kitchen appliances or willingness to learn
  • Working 3-3.75 hours per shift standing, walking, and moving about without the need to sit down
  • Willingness to learn and help others
  • Enjoyment in working with older adults
  • Some experience in food cleanup or preparation is preferred

Job Duties

  • Stack, soak, and run the dish machine
  • Soak and clean pots and pans, putting away in storage after dry
  • Clean equipment, appliances, storage area, and sinks according to schedule
  • Participate in serving food and beverages, as needed
  • Prepare beverages before meals
  • Provide customer service to residents to allow a high level of resident satisfaction
  • Bus tables during and after meals and clear tables when residents are finished eating
  • Vacuum carpet in the dining room after each meal
  • Maintain a clean, orderly and safe kitchen environment
  • Store food properly for infection control
  • Other duties as assigned
