Job Requirements

  • Maintain a pace sufficient to prevent backup of dirty dishes and glasses
  • Return and restock all cleaned items to appropriate areas
  • Ability to read a thermometer
  • Maintain dishwashing machinery and report issues to management
  • Identify cleaning supplies and notify management when low
  • Assist with general cleanliness of BOH and restrooms
  • Empty garbage and keep garbage areas clean and covered
  • Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures
  • Follow all company rules, policies, and procedures
  • Get along well with others and be a team player
  • Be available to work flexible shifts including weekends
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Physically able to stand and move intermittently during long shifts

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous kitchen or dishwashing experience beneficial but not required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of sanitation and safety procedures
  • Willingness to learn and adapt
  • Ability to follow directions and work under supervision
  • Reliability and punctuality

Job Duties

  • Clean cooking stations and equipment to help expedite service
  • Clean and maintain FOH areas and curbside if requested by supervisor
  • Keep open communication with BOH team and FOH team
  • Maintain cleanliness of BOH work areas including refrigeration, cooking equipment, and prep areas
  • Participate in deep cleaning of BOH work areas including refrigeration, cooking equipment, and prep areas
  • Assist in other BOH areas as needed including basic food preparation
  • Operate and utilize dish machine and cleaning supplies
  • Wash, sanitize, and dry all kitchen utensils, equipment, and other items placed in the dish area or as requested
  • Available to work a variety of hours, days, and shifts including weekends
  • Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment
