Job Requirements
- Maintain a pace sufficient to prevent backup of dirty dishes and glasses
- Return and restock all cleaned items to appropriate areas
- Ability to read a thermometer
- Maintain dishwashing machinery and report issues to management
- Identify cleaning supplies and notify management when low
- Assist with general cleanliness of BOH and restrooms
- Empty garbage and keep garbage areas clean and covered
- Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures
- Follow all company rules, policies, and procedures
- Get along well with others and be a team player
- Be available to work flexible shifts including weekends
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Physically able to stand and move intermittently during long shifts
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous kitchen or dishwashing experience beneficial but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Basic knowledge of sanitation and safety procedures
- Willingness to learn and adapt
- Ability to follow directions and work under supervision
- Reliability and punctuality
Job Duties
- Clean cooking stations and equipment to help expedite service
- Clean and maintain FOH areas and curbside if requested by supervisor
- Keep open communication with BOH team and FOH team
- Maintain cleanliness of BOH work areas including refrigeration, cooking equipment, and prep areas
- Participate in deep cleaning of BOH work areas including refrigeration, cooking equipment, and prep areas
- Assist in other BOH areas as needed including basic food preparation
- Operate and utilize dish machine and cleaning supplies
- Wash, sanitize, and dry all kitchen utensils, equipment, and other items placed in the dish area or as requested
- Available to work a variety of hours, days, and shifts including weekends
- Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment
