Job Duties

  • Wash and sanitize dishes thoroughly and efficiently according to the needs of other kitchen staff
  • return clean dishes to the appropriate storage area
  • maintain a clean and sanitized workspace according to the HACCP plan
  • clean hoods, kitchen equipment, bathrooms, break areas, and other regular maintenance cleaning
  • follow proper lifting and handling procedures to ensure personal health and safety
  • remove and report damaged equipment or goods to supervisors
  • maintain accurate records as required
  • work efficiently and cooperatively with the prep cooks, cooks and bakers, ensuring a smooth day in the kitchen
  • treat people fairly, consistently and with respect
  • abide by all Co-op policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook and other company documents
  • participate in required training and meetings
  • keep the kitchen orderly and clean
  • perform all other duties as assigned by a supervisor
