Job Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • strong passion for food and people
  • reliable transportation to and from work
  • ability to work in hot and cool environments
  • able to lift at least 20 pounds and frequently squat and bend
  • self-accountable and able to uphold high standards
  • able to work in fast-paced settings standing up to 8 hours daily or as needed
  • willingness to learn and develop
  • ability to read and follow written recipes, standards, and safety instructions
  • ServSafe Food Handler Certification (if not currently certified, company will assist in certification)

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous culinary or kitchen experience preferred but not required
  • strong passion for food and people
  • ability to read and follow written recipes, safety instructions, and standards
  • positive attitude and ability to work with a sense of urgency
  • team player with good communication skills
  • ServSafe Food Handler Certification or willingness to obtain one

Job Duties

  • ensuring the cleanliness and quality of every dish, pot, pan, utensil, and kitchen item
  • being an ambassador of the company’s mission and core values and a great team player
  • following food safety and sanitation standards and consistently ensuring best practices
  • monitoring dish machine to ensure it operates at correct temperatures
  • using the proper detergents and levels of detergents in dish machines and pot washing sinks
  • applying appropriate sanitizers when cleaning walls, cooking, prep surfaces, and floors
  • abiding by Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for hazardous chemical use
  • maintaining safe, clean, and organized walkways in the kitchen
  • keeping the dish area free from debris at all times
  • assisting kitchen staff with prep work, putting away food orders, and rotating produce as needed
