Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a kitchen steward or similar role preferred
- physical capacity to stand, walk, bend, twist, lift up to 100 lbs
- manual dexterity to handle kitchen tools safely
- availability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to follow detailed oral and written instructions
- food handler certification required
Job Qualifications
- Hold a current Food Handler Card
- knowledge of maintaining service ware to enhance guest experience
- ability to operate commercial kitchen dishwash machine per hotel and health standards
- ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions
- basic knowledge of health and safety standards in hospitality
Job Duties
- Sort soiled ware promptly and carefully for dish or pot machine processing
- wash all ware quickly and replace in designated storage areas
- keep dish machine clean and filled with water according to standards
- clean kettles, tilt skillets, pots, and pans thoroughly
- perform routine cleaning tasks using hotel-approved cleaning products
- clean and dry floors to prevent slip and fall accidents
- separate linen from other debris
- adhere to company policies and procedures
- follow safety and security rules
- know emergency and fire prevention procedures
- utilize protective equipment
- report unsafe conditions and incidents to management
- maintain neat and clean appearance
- assist kitchen personnel as needed
- perform related duties as requested
