Job Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must be an American citizen or Green Card holder
- Willing and able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day for 7 days a week for up to 28 weeks
- Able to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, standing, and walking for extended periods
- Must pass pre-employment drug test including marijuana and other controlled substances
- No consumption of alcohol while onboard
- Willingness to comply with grooming standards and safety training
- Temporary employment not to extend beyond 28 weeks
- Ability to maintain composure and a positive attitude under pressure
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must be an American citizen or Green Card holder
- Ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
- Previous hospitality or kitchen experience preferred but not required
- Strong physical stamina to handle moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended standing or walking periods
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and composure under pressure
- Willingness to adhere to grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
- Ability to follow safety protocols and participate in emergency functions
Job Duties
- Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the galley including cutlery, glassware, dishes, and surrounding areas
- Receive and carry food deliveries which require lifting boxes that weigh up to 50 lbs
- Ensure that the commercial dishwasher is operating properly and efficiently, reporting any maintenance issues to management
- Create genuine rapport with guests and cater to all galley requests in an efficient manner
- Perform additional functions such as greeting guests upon embarkation and providing assistance during special events including afternoon teas, snacks, and evening entertainment
- Maintain compliance with health and safety standards on board
- Participate in emergency and safety training and drills
