Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
prior experience in hospitality or related field preferred but not required
physical capability to lift boxes up to 50 lbs
willingness to work long hours including weekends
compliance with federal and department of transportation regulations
no alcohol consumption during employment
availability for 28 weeks of consecutive shipboard work

Job Qualifications

At least eighteen (18) years of age
American citizen or Green Card holder
ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
able to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended standing or walking
successful completion of pre-employment drug test including marijuana and other controlled substances
adherence to grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
positive attitude and ability to keep composure under pressure

Job Duties

Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the galley including cutlery, glassware, dishes, and surrounding areas
receive and carry food deliveries which require lifting boxes that weigh up to 50 lbs
ensure that the commercial dishwasher is operating properly and efficiently, reporting any maintenance issues to management
create genuine rapport with guests and cater to all galley requests efficiently
perform other functions such as greeting guests upon embarkation, assisting during special events including afternoon teas and snacks, and participating in evening entertainment
