Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service is a plus but not required
- Strong work ethic and commitment to company values of optimism, commitment, patriotism, and merit
- Must be able to follow safety and emergency procedures onboard
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and physically demanding work environment
- Willingness to work temporary contract lasting 28 weeks
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- American citizen or Green Card holder
- Ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
- Able to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment drug testing including testing for marijuana and other controlled substances
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude
- Willingness to comply with grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
Job Duties
- Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the galley including cutlery, glassware, dishes, and surrounding areas
- Receive and carry food deliveries which require lifting boxes that weigh up to 50 lbs
- Ensure that the commercial dishwasher is operating properly and efficiently, reporting any maintenance issues to management
- Create genuine rapport with guests and cater to all galley requests in an efficient manner
- Perform additional functions such as greeting guests upon embarkation, assisting during special events like afternoon teas and snacks, and participating in evening entertainment
- Maintain compliance with safety and hygiene regulations onboard
- Support team members in maintaining a clean and organized galley environment
