Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current and unrestricted paramedic license from US state or territory
- National Registry EMT-P certification
- At least two years of paramedic experience
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current PALS certification
- Ability to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Ability to work in austere conditions
- Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods
- Ability to bend, stoop and lift up to 25 lbs
- US citizenship
- Must live near a major airport
- Ability to respond to deployment site within 72 hours
- Ability to clear background and child neglect checks
Job Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted paramedic license from US state or territory
- National Registry EMT-P certification to provide healthcare within scope of practice
- Minimum of two years of paramedic experience
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- US Citizen
- Current state license
- National Registry Emergency Technician certification
- Ability to respond to site within 72 hours
- Clear a Child Neglect and Abuse Check and other background requirements
- Live near a major airport
Job Duties
- Assist medical providers with medical procedures and treatments as allowed within licensed scope of work
- Proactively and independently administer basic care including inserting catheters with blood specimen collection, urine collection and EKG's, visual acuity, basic wound care, changing bandages or administering intravenous medications
- Assess and document patient's vital signs, chief complaint, medical history, prescribed medications
- Establish observable and documentable interventions within protocols
- Report all changes in patient's conditions to the medical provider
- Assist patients with basic care and activities of daily living, as needed
- Provides support and education to help patients make responsible health decisions
- Maintains supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level
- anticipating needed supplies
- Restock clinical and provider areas once supplies are received
- Crosstrain to work within clinics, emergency room, and inpatient units
- Participate in on-call rotation schedule as needed
