Job Requirements

  • At least 2 years of progressive hotel sales experience preferred
  • or a 4-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience
  • or a 2-year college degree and at least 2 years of related experience
  • valid driver’s license in the applicable state
  • highly developed verbal and written communication skills
  • experience in professional selling skills
  • strong analytical skills and strategic vision
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • ability to multitask and work independently
  • strong organization and presentation skills
  • ability to manage diverse people and solve complex problems
  • advanced knowledge of sales and marketing principles
  • ability to work under pressure
  • understanding of financial data and arithmetic

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Coordinate all group, transient, and catering sales solicitations and bookings to maximize overall revenue
  • develop, recommend, implement and manage the division's annual budget and marketing and sales plans
  • proactively conduct outside sales calls, sales tours and entertain clients
  • understand contract content and negotiate terms
  • develop and maintain market awareness for revenue opportunities and strategies
  • monitor top account production and evaluate market trends
  • adhere to company sales standards and metrics
  • comply with individual and team goals and budgeted metrics
  • train hotel staff to recognize and capitalize on sales opportunities
  • develop deep knowledge of hotel operations and policies
  • maintain strong visibility in local community and industry organizations
  • attend and conduct meetings and training sessions
  • promote professional relationships with marketing partners and internal departments
  • travel weekly as required
  • act on behalf of General Manager in absence and perform other management duties as requested
