Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of progressive hotel sales experience preferred
- or a 4-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience
- or a 2-year college degree and at least 2 years of related experience
- valid driver’s license in the applicable state
- highly developed verbal and written communication skills
- experience in professional selling skills
- strong analytical skills and strategic vision
- proficiency in Microsoft Office
- ability to multitask and work independently
- strong organization and presentation skills
- ability to manage diverse people and solve complex problems
- advanced knowledge of sales and marketing principles
- ability to work under pressure
- understanding of financial data and arithmetic
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Coordinate all group, transient, and catering sales solicitations and bookings to maximize overall revenue
- develop, recommend, implement and manage the division's annual budget and marketing and sales plans
- proactively conduct outside sales calls, sales tours and entertain clients
- understand contract content and negotiate terms
- develop and maintain market awareness for revenue opportunities and strategies
- monitor top account production and evaluate market trends
- adhere to company sales standards and metrics
- comply with individual and team goals and budgeted metrics
- train hotel staff to recognize and capitalize on sales opportunities
- develop deep knowledge of hotel operations and policies
- maintain strong visibility in local community and industry organizations
- attend and conduct meetings and training sessions
- promote professional relationships with marketing partners and internal departments
- travel weekly as required
- act on behalf of General Manager in absence and perform other management duties as requested
