Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 6 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, event management, or related professional area
  • Or 2-year accredited degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • 4 years experience in relevant professional area
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and financial resources
  • Knowledge of food safety and liquor laws
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle guest relations and resolve complaints
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and improve service quality

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 6 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, event management, or related area
  • Or 2-year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field with 4 years relevant experience
  • Knowledge of customer and personal service principles
  • Understanding of economics, accounting, and financial management
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Experience with administration and management principles
  • Applied business knowledge in hospitality
  • Knowledge of food production, presentation, and sanitation standards
  • Ability to manage material resources effectively

Job Duties

  • Manage all restaurant operations and staff daily
  • Estimate food, liquor, wine, and beverage consumption for purchasing needs
  • Facilitate pre-meal briefings with chefs and restaurant managers
  • Maintain service and sanitation standards throughout all food and beverage areas
  • Order and purchase equipment and supplies
  • Oversee booking and service of special events and room service hospitality suites
  • Manage department budgets and control expenses
  • Lead, mentor, and develop staff including hiring and performance monitoring
  • Ensure compliance with food handling, sanitation, and liquor laws
  • Act as guest service role model and handle guest feedback and complaints effectively
