  • 10 years’ progressive management experience in collegiate, educational or business, industry hospitality or equivalent combination of education and experience

Job Duties

  • Responsible for the overall success of the retail dining operation
  • sets policies, procedures, operational expectations
  • gives direction to management team regarding safety and sanitation to comply with all county, state, and federal standards and regulations
  • reviews condition of equipment with General Manager and makes final decision on CNA requests
  • directs or advises Retail Dining General Manager on employment and disciplinary matters
  • reviews financial statements with General Manager and Director of Performance & Strategy and recommends course of action to improve operations and reduce budget variances
  • studies and recommends strategic direction to stay current and ahead of changes in university population, on-campus residency, new buildings, new product offerings, and new nutritional regulations and customer expectations
  • consults on franchise contracts and directs franchise development strategies
  • advises Managing Director on potential new franchise opportunities
