Job Duties
- Responsible for the overall success of the retail dining operation
- sets policies, procedures, operational expectations
- gives direction to management team regarding safety and sanitation to comply with all county, state, and federal standards and regulations
- reviews condition of equipment with General Manager and makes final decision on CNA requests
- directs or advises Retail Dining General Manager on employment and disciplinary matters
- reviews financial statements with General Manager and Director of Performance & Strategy and recommends course of action to improve operations and reduce budget variances
- studies and recommends strategic direction to stay current and ahead of changes in university population, on-campus residency, new buildings, new product offerings, and new nutritional regulations and customer expectations
- consults on franchise contracts and directs franchise development strategies
- advises Managing Director on potential new franchise opportunities
