Job Requirements

  • Progress toward or attainment of bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive restaurant management experience including multi-unit oversight
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively
  • Strong financial management skills including budgeting and forecasting
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work varied and rotating schedules
  • Proficient in restaurant operational software and technology
  • Commitment to uphold safety and health standards
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with landlords, unions, and stakeholders

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of restaurant experience with at least 3 years in multi-unit management
  • Demonstrated financial acumen and ability to understand and manage P&L statements
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, service quality, safety, and compliance standards
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with diverse stakeholders including unions and landlords
  • Proficient in using operational tools and technology such as MIV, Crunch Time, and Kronos
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Experience managing budgets and meeting financial targets
  • Ability to coach, develop, and motivate employees
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local health and safety regulations

Job Duties

  • Ensures all GMs and staff recognize the importance of preparing each restaurant for next-day opening and holds GMs accountable for closing and opening checklist requirements
  • Facilitates the development and implementation of the annual budget, financial forecasts, and business goals and leads unit management to ensure budgeted sales and profit goals are achieved
  • Develops and maintains relationships with landlords, brand partners, and DBE joint venture partners
  • Interviews candidates for key jobs and makes hiring, termination, advancement, and promotion decisions
  • Responsible for scheduling managers to ensure leadership presence during all hours of operation
  • Holds GMs accountable for on-boarding and off-boarding processes including compliance with badging and training
  • Provides coaching and support to restaurant staff to achieve business goals
  • Ensures compliance with safety standards and health protocols including wellness checks and COVID-19 requirements
  • Oversees product availability, orders, inventory management, and vendor communications
  • Monitors and maintains restaurant equipment and schedules repairs
  • Champions waste minimization and participates in food donation programs
  • Maintains knowledge of brand standards, lease agreements, labor agreements, and trains associates accordingly
  • Manages day-to-day associate activities and resolves customer and associate issues
  • Implements marketing programs and complies with promotional activities to drive revenue
  • Collaborates with regional leadership and financial officers on operational and financial decisions
