Job Requirements

  • degree or certificates in business, food safety, culinary arts, procurement, or related fields preferred
  • minimum five years experience in production supervision or management preferably in chilled food manufacturing
  • ability to apply common math formulas in reporting
  • experience in food manufacturing with knowledge of produce seasonality
  • one year or more experience applying haccp and good manufacturing practices
  • experience in continuous improvement environments
  • proficient in microsoft suite including excel
  • excellent analytical skills
  • proven ability to lead a team and achieve results
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • knowledge of continuous improvement techniques
  • trained in osha, haccp, first aid/cpr, and food hygiene
  • ability to motivate team members
  • ability to work in cold and damp environments
  • good understanding of english
  • bilingual skills in spanish a plus

Job Duties

  • manage a team of managers and supervisors to achieve operational vision and goals
  • provide leadership to the management team and set expectations aligned with company values
  • oversee all aspects of business success including strategic planning and compliance
  • analyze root causes of poor performance and coach team to improve kpi delivery
  • present and report site results including kpis, shortages, and staffing
  • drive culinary excellence and continuous improvement initiatives
  • ensure compliance with food safety, usda, and qa regulations
  • lead employee engagement and foster a safe, collaborative culture
  • supervise production activities and employee training
  • schedule staff according to production demand
  • work closely with operations manager to meet production goals
  • apply process controls for efficiency
  • train and develop team on production expectations and quality standards
  • conduct daily huddles to review safety and performance
  • ensure timely completion of related paperwork
