Job Requirements
- 2-year degree in human resources or related field with 2 years experience and certified trainer
- or 4-year bachelor’s degree with certified trainer and no prior experience
- proficiency in learning technology platforms
- strong organizational and communication skills
- ability to conduct needs assessments and deliver training programs
- experience managing training budgets
- excellent leadership and coaching abilities
- ability to work independently and collaboratively
- commitment to inclusivity and diversity
- availability for full-time, on-property work at JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa
Job Qualifications
- 2-year degree in human resources, hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related major with 2 years experience in human resources or related area and certified trainer
- or 4-year bachelor’s degree in human resources, hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related major with certified trainer and no work experience required
- demonstrated mastery of training technology and facilitation methods
- knowledge of adult learning principles and delivery adjustments for diverse audiences
- strong leadership and coaching skills
- ability to evaluate training effectiveness through business metrics
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- proficiency in using digital learning platforms
- experience in managing training budgets and coordinating multi-level training programs
Job Duties
- plans and executes key learning delivery and leadership development activities
- facilitates and delivers on-property training including core and brand training for associates, supervisors, and leaders
- acts as subject matter expert on brand and leadership development tools and resources
- monitors compliance of all required training and partners with human resources and operations leaders
- conducts needs assessments and partners with continent learning team to identify programming
- participates in the Field Trainer Network and Voyager program
- oversees Learning Coordinator responsibilities
- manages training budgets and department controllable expenses
- evaluates training program effectiveness using key business indicators
- coaches managers to improve employee and service performance
- supports orientation programs and promotes company culture
- adapts training delivery to diverse learning styles and technological platforms
- provides ongoing feedback and coaching to associates and managers
- ensures mastery of training content and adult learning principles
- coordinates required training programs and participant follow-ups
- integrates guest satisfaction components into training and departmental meetings
