Job Requirements

  • associate degree from a two-year college or technical school preferred
  • ten years of related experience
  • three to four years of management experience
  • minimum six months experience in teaching or training adults
  • ability to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements
  • capacity to conduct quality assurance observations
  • physical ability to operate simulator controls and instruct in classroom
  • good communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • supervise the development of standardized courseware documentation
  • ensure materials comply with regulatory requirements
  • review customer requests and directives to update training
  • propose changes to courses and equipment as needed
  • coordinate and standardize pilot training programs and materials
  • supervise and manage customer training activities
  • monitor instructor teaching skills through quality assurance
  • coordinate with regulatory agencies and internal personnel on training device approvals
  • monitor technical and procedural accuracy of ground and flight training
  • maintain instructor qualifications worldwide
  • ensure compliance with professional instructor standards
  • act as a ground and flight instructor as needed
  • provide resources to instructors for customer training
  • conduct instructor meetings to communicate policies and issues
  • evaluate new hire instructors and certify readiness
  • recommend instructors for special regulatory designations
  • interview and recommend employment of new team members
  • set project priorities and monitor staff achievement
  • lead departmental meetings
  • complete performance appraisals and conduct conferencing
  • coordinate personnel matters with human resources
