Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, engineering or related field or equivalent work experience
- MBA in related field preferred
- At least ten years of progressive experience in supply chain management including a minimum of five years in leadership role preferably in CPG industry
- Strong people leadership and developing supply chain leaders
- Proven success in supply chain strategy development and implementation
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding leadership and communication skills
- Strategic thinker
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with supply chain software, ERP systems and advanced Excel
- Knowledge of CPG industry best practices
- Certification in supply chain management preferred
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
- MBA preferred
- Minimum of ten years progressive supply chain management experience including at least five years in leadership
- Strong people leadership and team development skills
- Proven success in supply chain strategy development and execution
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities
- Strategic thinker with proactive problem-solving skills
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and meeting deadlines
- Proficiency with supply chain management software and ERP systems
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Deep knowledge of CPG industry best practices
- Preferred supply chain certification such as APICS or CSCMP
Job Duties
- Serve as a strategic, cross-functional leader guiding key supply chain functions and collaborating closely with all business areas
- Sponsor and support the SIOP/S&OP program to drive revenue growth, customer service, cost reduction, and supply chain excellence
- Manage commodity Purchase Price Variance to optimize financial results including reacting to market changes
- Drive excellence in supplier performance and cost management for manufacturing inputs
- Build and develop a high-performing supply chain team and enhance key capabilities like MRP and demand planning
- Operate hands-on in supply chain operations to address issues, coach teams, and improve functional capability
- Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies aligned with company goals
- Work alongside frontline employees to identify operational gaps and foster employee engagement
- Establish KPIs and dashboards to measure and enhance supply chain performance
- Formulate and execute e-sourcing and procurement strategies for quality materials at competitive prices
- Develop and manage alternative suppliers for resilience and negotiate key contracts
- Oversee outsourcing strategies for co-manufacturing and co-packing to improve flexibility and cost
- Collaborate with logistics, warehousing, and plant operations functions
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations, reduce costs, and maintain quality standards
- Oversee production planning and scheduling to optimize resource utilization and meet targets
- Support accurate demand planning and inventory management
- Implement risk management strategies to ensure supply chain continuity
- Ensure FSQA compliance in supply chains
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to drive innovation
- Provide strategic leadership and mentorship to supply chain teams
- Promote internal talent development for future challenges
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance for aligned strategies
- Contribute to budgeting and strategic planning
- Undertake special projects with flexibility
- Travel as needed domestically and internationally
- Uphold company policies and maintain high standards
