Job Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- Current CPR certification
- Experience in long term care
- Prefer experience as a nurse manager
- Prefer experience or training in staff development
- Ability to coordinate and develop educational programs
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of federal, state, and corporate training requirements
Job Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with CPR certification
- Long term care experience preferred
- Working knowledge of Point Click Care preferred
- Experience as a Nurse Manager preferred
- Experience or training in staff development preferred
Job Duties
- Develop and direct orientation programs for all personnel according to established policies and procedures
- Establish resources within the facility and community to support education and training needs
- Coordinate and establish a calendar for mandated training programs compliant with federal, state, and corporate guidelines
- Perform approved competency tests for all nursing personnel
- Maintain detailed records of staff attendance and participation in educational programs
- Ensure completion of all required documentation for new hires including certifications, licenses, background checks, and employment forms
- Assist facility department heads in designing and completing orientation programs tailored to their departments
- Coordinate and monitor facility policies and procedures including provision of Hepatitis B vaccine and TB testing
- Plan, develop, organize, evaluate, and direct facility safety programs and objectives
- Provide statistical information related to orientation and education to company, insurance carriers, and consultants as requested
