Job Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
  • Current CPR certification
  • Experience in long term care
  • Prefer experience as a nurse manager
  • Prefer experience or training in staff development
  • Ability to coordinate and develop educational programs
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and corporate training requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with CPR certification
  • Long term care experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Point Click Care preferred
  • Experience as a Nurse Manager preferred
  • Experience or training in staff development preferred

Job Duties

  • Develop and direct orientation programs for all personnel according to established policies and procedures
  • Establish resources within the facility and community to support education and training needs
  • Coordinate and establish a calendar for mandated training programs compliant with federal, state, and corporate guidelines
  • Perform approved competency tests for all nursing personnel
  • Maintain detailed records of staff attendance and participation in educational programs
  • Ensure completion of all required documentation for new hires including certifications, licenses, background checks, and employment forms
  • Assist facility department heads in designing and completing orientation programs tailored to their departments
  • Coordinate and monitor facility policies and procedures including provision of Hepatitis B vaccine and TB testing
  • Plan, develop, organize, evaluate, and direct facility safety programs and objectives
  • Provide statistical information related to orientation and education to company, insurance carriers, and consultants as requested
