Job Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in sport management or related field
  • at least 8 years experience in professional sports and live entertainment
  • proven leadership and team management skills
  • strong budgetary and financial management abilities
  • comprehensive knowledge of event operations and logistics
  • physical ability to lift 50 pounds daily
  • capacity to work in extreme weather conditions
  • valid driver’s license or ability to acquire one
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • familiarity with USL rules and professional league operations
  • ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • ability to handle multiple priorities and changing environments effectively

Job Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree in sport management or related field
  • 8+ years experience in professional sports and live entertainment
  • experience with recruiting, hiring, training, managing, motivating a team
  • experience within professional soccer (MLS, NWSL, or USL) preferred
  • experience with TV and radio broadcast a plus
  • ability to acquire or maintain a valid driver’s license and meet vehicle driving standards
  • ability to maintain a positive attitude and professionalism
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • ability to work accurately and timely
  • ability to work independently and in groups and demonstrate good judgment

Job Duties

  • Create a hiring/onboarding plan process for stadium operations staff including interviewing, hiring, and training of the operations team including director of guest services, manager of event services, and other stadium positions
  • participate in the development and administration of the stadium at Expo Idaho operations and capital budgets
  • create, manage, and adhere to an annual operating budget
  • develop and update policies/procedures, A-Z guides, and FAQs for all venues under control
  • conduct organizational and operational studies and recommend modifications
  • work on opening plans for the stadium including FFE procurement, staffing assignments, trainings, and vendor onboarding
  • work with CEO to review plans, procurement, VE studies, and exposures related to the stadium opening and operations
  • work with director of facilities to maintain facility register and assist with annual preventative maintenance and sustainability planning
  • develop policy and procedures for event days and non-event days
  • oversee event day operations including guest services, housekeeping, parking, transportation, and conversion
  • manage strategic offsite parking alliances and partnerships with local businesses, RTD, mobility solutions, and TNCs
  • facilitate weekly meetings for match day and event preparations involving stakeholders
  • ensure adherence to USL rules and regulations related to event operations, safety, and security
  • track and maintain event records and compile annual summary and strategic plan based on achievements and benchmarks
