Job Requirements

  • 2-year degree or higher in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in spa, guest services, front desk, sales and marketing roles
  • Proven leadership experience in a management position within spa or retail operations
  • Strong understanding of budget and payroll management
  • Excellent customer service orientation
  • Ability to coordinate multiple departments and services effectively
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be available to work full time at the Ritz-Carlton Residences Waikiki Beach location

Job Qualifications

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major and 4 years experience in spa, guest services, front desk, sales and marketing, or related professional area
  • Or 4-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major and 2 years experience in spa, guest services, front desk, sales and marketing, or related professional area
  • Proven experience in managing spa and retail operations
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent customer service and hospitality skills
  • Ability to develop and manage sales and marketing strategies
  • Proficiency in budget management and financial oversight
  • Skilled in human resources functions including recruitment, onboarding, and performance management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Manage and supervise all areas of spa and retail operations including programs, services, facilities, and associate activities
  • Coordinate the delivery of spa and retail services such as salon, skin care, fitness and wellness, massage, program coordination, reservations, reception, store front, inventory, and locker room management
  • Select vendors and manage contract agreements for retail operations
  • Monitor retail product research, selection, purchasing, and product display
  • Manage supply inventories and purchasing control including uniforms
  • Monitor actual and projected spa and retail sales to ensure revenue goals are met or exceeded
  • Maintain cleanliness of spa, retail, and related areas and equipment
  • Create and coordinate special services and group gifting programs
  • Develop and manage spa and retail promotions including gifting programs, co-op marketing efforts, and holiday events
  • Ensure spa and retail services are included in all property-related marketing and advertising
  • Identify and recommend new products and product enhancements
  • Monitor and manage payroll function
  • Review operating statements, budget worksheets, and payroll progress reports to manage operations to budget
  • Manage controllable expenses such as guest amenities, linen, salon products, plants, decorations, and paper supplies
  • Display leadership in guest hospitality and exemplify excellent customer service
  • Empower employees to provide excellent customer service and improve service performance
  • Review guest satisfaction data and develop corrective action plans
  • Interview and hire management and hourly employees
  • Develop, implement, and maintain onboarding programs for new hires
  • Administer performance appraisal process
  • Develop business goals and create development plans
  • Maintain open, collaborative relationships with employees and foster a positive team environment
  • Solicit employee feedback and address concerns
  • Facilitate ongoing communication within all areas of responsibility
  • Celebrate team successes and recognize contributions publicly
