Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional work experience
  • Experience managing the schedule of an elected official
  • Managerial experience preferred
  • Knowledge of New York State government operations
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
  • Proficiency in Google and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and be detail oriented
  • Must be available for non-traditional working hours and travel between Albany and New York City
  • Subject to NYS Police background check prior to appointment

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Managerial experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of New York State government operations
  • Proven ability to work independently and make sound judgments
  • Proficiency with Google and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills

Job Duties

  • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the Governor's time with the Traveling Chief of Staff
  • Maintain positive relationships with the Governor's office network and Executive Chamber departments
  • Participate in daily event meetings and execute assigned follow-ups
  • Prepare agendas for weekly strategic planning meetings
  • Communicate with Executive Chamber Senior team and departments to ensure effective planning and management of meetings and events
  • Coordinate with event contacts, program staff and advance staff on the Governor's role, event program, and transportation
  • Liaise with the Governor's Protective Service Unit for travel and schedule coordination
  • Screen internal scheduling request forms and direct written responses
  • Provide continuous process improvements and customer service
  • Manage the scheduling team for the Governor's daily schedule and monitor changes
