Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, or related field preferred
- Minimum six years of progressive hotel sales experience typically with Hyatt
- Experience in leading high volume sales teams
- Ability to provide motivational leadership and manage a diverse team
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in computer applications related to sales and marketing
- Ability to develop business plans and forecast revenues
- Clear concise written and verbal English communication skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive work environment
Job Qualifications
- Six years or more of progressive hotel sales experience
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with diverse cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
- Previous hotel pre-opening experience preferred
- Proven history of success in sales
- Results driven, energetic, and focused
- Service oriented with strong professional presentation skills
- Hospitality or hotel degree is an asset
- Strong leadership with entrepreneurial spirit
- Effective communicator with exceptional customer service abilities
- Proficient in written and verbal English communication
- Skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel
Job Duties
- Oversee sales and marketing operations of the hotel
- Manage the Sales and Marketing budget and P&L forecasting
- Develop and write comprehensive business plans
- Supervise, train, and coach sales managers, trainees, interns, and administrative staff
- Recruit and hire qualified sales staff
- Monitor group and transient contractual agreements, quoting rates, and managing referrals
- Handle retention, reactivation, and acquisition accounts management
