Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- minimum six years of progressive hotel sales experience typically with Hyatt
- excellent communication skills
- proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- ability to manage budgets and forecasts
- leadership and team management skills
- pre-opening hotel experience preferred
- strong organizational skills
- ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Job Qualifications
- Six years or more of progressive hotel sales experience
- demonstrated ability to interact with diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
- previous hotel pre-opening experience preferred
- history of success in sales roles
- results driven, energetic, and focused
- service oriented style with professional presentation skills
- hotel or hospitality degree an asset
- high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader
- proven track record in high volume concept
- effective communicator
- ability to provide exceptional customer service and improve the bottom line
- clear, concise written and verbal communication skills in English
- proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Job Duties
- Oversee sales, marketing, and events operations
- manage sales, marketing, and events budget and profit and loss
- develop and write business plans
- forecast revenue and manage advertising and marketing strategies
- supervise sales managers, trainees, interns, and administrative staff
- recruit, hire, train, manage, and coach sales staff
- monitor group and transient contractual agreements
- quote rates and send referrals
- set traces
- manage retention, reactivation, and acquisition accounts
