Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • minimum six years of progressive hotel sales experience typically with Hyatt
  • excellent communication skills
  • proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • ability to manage budgets and forecasts
  • leadership and team management skills
  • pre-opening hotel experience preferred
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Job Qualifications

  • Six years or more of progressive hotel sales experience
  • demonstrated ability to interact with diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
  • previous hotel pre-opening experience preferred
  • history of success in sales roles
  • results driven, energetic, and focused
  • service oriented style with professional presentation skills
  • hotel or hospitality degree an asset
  • high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader
  • proven track record in high volume concept
  • effective communicator
  • ability to provide exceptional customer service and improve the bottom line
  • clear, concise written and verbal communication skills in English
  • proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Job Duties

  • Oversee sales, marketing, and events operations
  • manage sales, marketing, and events budget and profit and loss
  • develop and write business plans
  • forecast revenue and manage advertising and marketing strategies
  • supervise sales managers, trainees, interns, and administrative staff
  • recruit, hire, train, manage, and coach sales staff
  • monitor group and transient contractual agreements
  • quote rates and send referrals
  • set traces
  • manage retention, reactivation, and acquisition accounts
