Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • six to twelve months related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • ability to read, write, perform mathematical computations such as adding and multiplying
  • ability to effectively communicate with guests, utilizing tact and diplomacy and solve practical problems
  • ability to stand, walk, talk, listen, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms
  • ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 25-35 pounds
  • ability to focus while staying on feet and moving about freely including bending and climbing stairs
  • ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • execute all above responsibilities in a manner that leads by example
  • adhere to the vision, mission, culture of the Hampton Inn and Suites Brier Creek and Embassy Suites Brier Creek
  • generate and update accurate revenue forecasts including 30-day and 90-day forecasts
  • forward suggestions and observations to improve perceived quality and SALT scores
  • communicate client expectations to operational staff in a timely and complete manner
  • participate in development of hotel revenue budget balancing all needs
  • forecast occupancy fluctuations and direct selling activities to maximize revenues
  • know the hotel's demand segments and sources of business and balance market segments according to supply and demand
  • know the principal competition and take advantage of hotel’s strengths against each competitor
  • accurately forecast occupancy changes based on market conditions
  • demonstrate commitment to guest service by responding to guests' needs
  • develop and assist with development and implementation of the hotel's marketing and sales plan based on the hotel’s position and strengths
  • analyze competition’s strengths and weaknesses for each market segment and direct marketing activities accordingly
  • identify and maintain communication with key accounts
  • actively sell room nights through outside sales calls and telemarketing
  • actively sell to in-house guests by engaging with them to surface leads
  • ensure hotel employees are familiar with key accounts and specifics relating to business booked in the hotel
