Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior sales experience in hospitality preferred
- Sales certified with Hilton for Hampton Inn and Home 2 Suites by Hilton brands
- Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends, nights and holidays
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel sales systems including Delphi and ONQ
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
- Must be able to sit for several hours and engage in outside sales calls
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally
- Availability for travel and attending networking events
- Compliance with FHM rules and regulations
- Ability to work in team environment and lead sales personnel
Job Qualifications
- College Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Previous sales and hotel opening experience within the hospitality industry
- Knowledge of Delphi Sales systems, Hilton ONQ, Hilton R&I preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Office, Internet and email
- Well organized and detail oriented
- Ability to work independently
- Display initiative, perseverance, and analytical skills
- Effective internal and external communication
- Professional and ethical conduct
- Excellent customer service skills
- Quick learner and hard worker

- Ability to meet guests including weekends and nights
- Valid Driver's License and clean MVR
Job Duties
- Solicit business within different market segments via tele-prospecting and outside sales calls
- Maintain accounts with existing contacts to develop rapport and future business and produce room night sales
- Attend networking events and develop relationships with local community groups, companies, and trade organizations
- Conduct site tours
- Upkeep of customer database via Delphi System and ONQ
- Develop contracts and follow up with customers
- Direct activities of the hotel sales team providing leadership and motivation
- Develop and manage departmental budget and monitor sales performance
- Co-develop tactical sales plans supporting system-wide strategies
- Assist General Manager in business and marketing plan development
- Interface on media-related inquiries
- Generate repeat business by working past and potential group files
- Attend sales and revenue management meetings
- Generate sales reports
- Follow all applicable FHM and Brand Operating Standards
- Take responsibility for the development and implementation of sales action plans and monitor effectiveness
- Participate in Manager on Duty program
- Coordinate activities with other hotel departments for guest satisfaction
- Develop promotional programs and sales blitzes
- Report regularly to General Manager on sales performance and analyze variances
- Analyze Star data for trends
- Maintain compliance with safety and security policies
- Hire, train, and direct new sales or administrative associates
- Work with accounting on receivables
- Coordinate with Rooms Division on room inventory
- Ensure excellent customer service and guest treatment
- Adhere to company policies
- Maintain open communication with teams
- Be available to help other departments in emergencies
- Comply with hotel attendance and training requirements
- Operate office and sales systems proficiently
