Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • experience in sales and hotel opening in hospitality industry
  • ability to use Delphi Sales systems and Hilton ONQ
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet communication
  • excellent communication skills
  • availability to work flexible hours including weekends and nights
  • professional demeanor and ethical conduct
  • valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record

Job Qualifications

  • College bachelor’s degree preferred
  • previous sales and hotel opening experience within hospitality industry
  • knowledge of Delphi Sales systems, Hilton ONQ, Hilton R&I, GRO preferred
  • proficient in Microsoft Word, Office, Internet, and email
  • well organized and detail oriented
  • ability to work independently
  • display initiative, perseverance and analytical skills
  • effective internal and external communication skills
  • professional and ethical

Job Duties

  • Solicit business within different market segments via tele-prospecting and outside sales calls
  • maintain accounts with existing contacts to develop rapport and future business
  • attend networking events and develop relationships with community groups and trade organizations
  • conduct site tours
  • maintain customer database via Delphi System and ONQ
  • develop contracts and follow up with customers
  • direct activities of the hotel sales team providing leadership and motivation
  • develop and manage departmental budget
  • assist general manager in business and marketing plan development
  • interface on media inquiries in coordination with general manager
  • generate repeat business by working past and potential group files
  • attend sales and revenue calls and hotel staff meetings
  • generate reports to measure business from sales department
  • follow all applicable brand and operational standards
  • hire, train and direct new sales or administrative associates
  • participate in Manager on Duty program
  • coordinate with accounting on account receivables
  • collaborate with hotel departments to increase guest satisfaction
  • coordinate room inventory management with Rooms Division
  • develop promotional programs and materials
  • report on room numbers against budget and profit projections
  • analyze sales data and market trends
  • ensure compliance with safety and security policies
