Job Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, hospitality, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in a hotel sales leadership role
- Experience using Delphi or similar sales software
- Strong knowledge of the travel industry and current market trends
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel as needed
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of hotel director of sales experience
- Proficient in Delphi sales software
- Experience in Hilton hotel sales highly preferred
- Knowledge of travel industry trends and economic factors
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a sales team
- Ability to analyze market data and forecast sales accurately
Job Duties
- Provide oversight to the team and develop solicitation of business from group segments
- Direct solicitation efforts of sales staff through effective communication
- Work with Director of Revenue Strategy to ensure group proposals and contracts meet hotel expectations
- Forecast group room nights and revenue weekly on a rolling 12-month calendar
- Interview, hire, train, and evaluate sales staff including personnel management
- Provide direction to the team and assume reporting responsibilities related to forecast and sales meetings
- Ensure regular training programs and meet Crescent standards of performance
- Compile reports including budget, forecast, booking, and market data
- Conduct ongoing research of travel industry and market trends
- Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients
- Meet with and entertain clients, including travel as needed
- Manage citywide room block segmentation
- Review and approve sales department contracts
- Optimize scheduling of meetings within hotel function space to maximize revenue
- Communicate clearly with staff both verbally and in writing
- Prepare and execute annual sales and marketing plans, adjusting as necessary
- Organize and attend sales department meetings and other related meetings
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
