Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related area of study
  • At least 3 years of experience in hotel sales and marketing management
  • Ability to effectively manage and delegate tasks within a sales team
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to analyze market trends and adjust strategies accordingly
  • Must be able to work on-site
  • Must clear background screening
  • Willingness to stand, walk, bend, stretch, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds throughout the shift

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related area of study
  • Minimum 3 years experience in hotel sales and marketing management
  • Experience with Hilton systems preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate the sales team
  • Outstanding negotiation skills
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
  • High level of understanding of the market
  • Ability to accept criticism and opportunities gracefully and humbly for growth

Job Duties

  • Carry out personnel-related duties including interviewing, appraising, coaching, and counseling
  • Develop promotional opportunities to maximize sales revenue through all distribution channels
  • Develop and maintain department budget
  • Timely submission of required reports to General Manager
  • Develop sales action plans and forecast and evaluate trends to modify strategies that will enhance revenues
  • Collaborate with fellow revenue responsible team members to lead divergent strategic tactics that drive profitable results
  • Review the STAR report and other resources to maintain an awareness of the hotel’s market position
  • Facilitate and maintain open lines of communication between employees, management, and guests
  • Understand the agendas and perspective of others to establish mutually beneficial objectives
  • Develop a full working knowledge of the operations and policies of the hotel including Sales Food and Beverage, Front Office, and Reservations
  • Complete coordination of the Sales group functions with accurate and timely preparation of detailed Sales Contracts and Group Resumes
  • Design plans and materials for promotions and public relations
