Job Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of progressive hotel sales experience
  • Experience interacting effectively with people from diverse cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
  • Previous hotel pre-opening experience preferred
  • Proven success in sales roles
  • Results driven and energetic attitude
  • Strong service orientation and professional presentation skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate sales teams
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Job Qualifications

  • 6 years or more of progressive hotel sales experience typically with Hyatt
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with diverse cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
  • Previous hotel pre-opening experience preferred
  • Proven history of success in sales
  • Results driven, energetic, and focused work ethic
  • Service-oriented style with professional presentation skills
  • Hotel or hospitality degree is an asset
  • High energy, entrepreneurial spirit, and motivational leadership
  • Effective communication and exceptional customer service skills
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Job Duties

  • Oversee sales and marketing operations of the hotel
  • Manage sales and marketing budget and P&L
  • Develop and implement business plans
  • Supervise sales managers, trainees, interns, and administrative staff
  • Recruit, hire, train, and coach sales staff
  • Manage group and transient contractual agreement processes including quoting rates, referrals, and setting traces
  • Handle retention, reactivation, and acquisition of accounts
