Job Requirements

  • Four-year degree
  • previous experience in luxury hotel or resort sales management
  • leadership skills
  • ability to recruit and develop sales team
  • strong coordination and budget achievement skills
  • familiarity with computerized sales and operational systems

Job Qualifications

  • Four-year college or university degree
  • previous experience as a director of sales or sales manager in a luxury hotel or resort
  • strong people leadership skills with ability to recruit and lead sales personnel
  • demonstrated ability to achieve budgeted goals and coordinate department activities
  • proficiency with computerized operational systems

Job Duties

  • Monitor and motivate the sales activities and the sales team to ensure quotas are met
  • coordinate sales activities with transient demand to maximize revenue per available room
  • recruit, select, train, and guide sales department personnel
  • conduct performance evaluations and manage supervisory functions
  • direct sales to achieve budgeted goals and identify business trends
  • negotiate contracts to maximize revenue and client satisfaction
  • assist in developing and executing the annual marketing plan with emphasis on increasing sales and profitability
