Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED
  • 3-5 years of hotel sales experience
  • Proven success in hotel sales
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to work collaboratively with leadership
  • Passion for hotel sales
  • Competitive and hunter mentality

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED with 3-5 years of equivalent hotel sales experience
  • Proven track record of success in hotel sales and understanding of competitive sets
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills including proficiency in email and data analysis
  • Preferred bachelor's degree
  • Experience with premium-branded select, focused, or extended stay hotels
  • Familiarity with Delphi or Envision sales systems

Job Duties

  • Drive growth of total hotel revenue and achieve positive RevPAR index change year-over-year
  • Understand and execute the sales process to contract group business and secure corporate negotiated rate accounts
  • Champion the hotel's overall business plan with a focus on successful execution
  • Provide insights on the hotel’s competitive set and advise sales staff and general manager accordingly
  • Optimize sales staff by ensuring understanding of their mission and providing necessary tools for success
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders including hotel ownership and corporate staff
  • Collaborate closely with general manager, assistant general manager, front office manager, executive sales leadership, revenue management, and corporate teams
