Job Duties

  • Develop new accounts
  • maintain existing accounts
  • implement sales strategy to achieve revenue goals and maximize profits
  • direct day-to-day activities of the sales team
  • assist with planning and organizing revenue segments including food and beverage
  • assign work for each manager
  • develop and communicate strategies and goals
  • create, train and motivate staff responsible for developing accounts
  • advise staff on policies, procedures and sales quotas
  • manage human resource-related actions
  • achieve or exceed individual and team sales goals and hotel budget
  • manage lead sources for quantity and quality
  • analyze market and sales trends
  • seek new customers through strategic outbound sales efforts
  • conduct sales calls to key accounts and prospects
  • monitor sales team performance
  • report performance to management
  • utilize corporate revenue management resources
  • develop and maintain relationships with peers and competitors
  • provide support and coaching to team members
  • train and empower sales team members
  • display leadership in guest hospitality and customer service
  • execute operational aspects of booked business
  • complete ongoing sales objectives and action plans
  • complete all reporting on accounts and production
