Job Description
This position is for the Director of Sales-Select Service at a hotel independently owned and operated by Aimbridge Hospitality, a leading franchisee separate from Marriott International, Inc. Aimbridge Hospitality manages this property with full control over employment policies and practices, including hiring, staffing, compensation, benefits, and corporate decisions. Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of progressive hotel sales experience preferred
- or a 4-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience
- or a 2-year college degree and at least 2 years of related experience
- must have a valid driver’s license
- possess well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office
- ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
- strong organizational skills
- capable of working under pressure and maintaining composure
- able to understand and interpret financial data
- must be able to travel weekly
Job Qualifications

- possess highly developed verbal and written communication skills
- experience with professional selling skills including opening, probing, supporting and closing

- ability to interact and manage diverse populations
- advanced knowledge of sales, marketing and hospitality principles
- ability to work under pressure and maintain composure
- able to understand financial information and basic arithmetic
Job Duties
- Coordinate all group, transient, and catering sales solicitations and bookings to maximize overall revenue
- develop, recommend, implement and manage the annual budget and advertising, public relations marketing and sales plans and programs
- conduct outside sales calls, sales tours and entertain clients
- understand contract content and negotiate terms
- develop and maintain market awareness for revenue opportunity prediction and strategy
- monitor production of top accounts and evaluate market trends
- adhere to company sales standards and metrics
- comply with attainment of individual and team goals and budgeted metrics
- train hotel staff to recognize and capitalize on sales opportunities
- develop knowledge of hotel operations and policies
- maintain visibility in local community and industry
- attend and conduct meetings and functions
- maintain professional relationships with marketing partners and internal departments
- travel weekly as required
- act on behalf of the General Manager in absence
- perform other duties as requested
