This job opportunity is with a hotel owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Aimbridge Hospitality. Aimbridge Hospitality is a separate company and employer from Marriott International, Inc., controlling all aspects of the hotel's employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, staffing, compensation, benefits, and other employment terms. Job Requirements
- Must have valid driver's license in applicable state
- must possess highly developed verbal and written communication skills
- must have professional selling skills including opening, probing, supporting, and closing
- must show strong analytical skills and strategic vision
- must be proficient in Microsoft Office products
- must be able to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- must have strong organization and presentation skills
- must be able to interact effectively with diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds

- must be understand financial information and perform basic arithmetic
Job Qualifications
- At least 2 years of progressive hotel sales experience preferred
- or a 4-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience
- or a 2-year college degree and at least 2 years of related experience
- highly developed verbal and written communication skills
- professional selling skills including opening, probing, supporting, and closing
- strong analytical skills and strategic vision
- proficient in Microsoft Office
- strong organization and presentation skills
- demonstrated ability to manage diverse teams and solve complex problems
- advanced knowledge of sales, marketing and hospitality principles

- ability to work with financial data and basic arithmetic
Job Duties
- Coordinate all group, transient, and catering sales solicitations and bookings to maximize overall revenue
- develop, recommend, implement and manage the division's annual budget and advertising, public relations, marketing and sales plans
- proactively conduct outside sales calls, sales tours and entertain clients
- understand contract content and negotiate terms
- develop and maintain market awareness and set proactive strategies
- monitor production of top accounts and evaluate market trends
- train hotel staff on sales opportunities
- develop knowledge of hotel operations including sales, food and beverage, front office and reservations
- maintain visibility in local community and industry organizations
- attend and conduct meetings and training
- maintain professional relationships with marketing partners and internal departments
- travel weekly as required
- act on behalf of General Manager in his/her absence
- perform other duties as requested by management
